About Vebix Automation
We are an engineering company in Pune. We design and build hardware for defence, subsea and UAV programmes, and we are the authorised Indian distributor for Blu-Sub Mechatronics, Holybro and T-Motor.
What we do
We take on engineering work that has to leave the lab: defence electronics, underwater vehicles and their subsea components, UAV airframes and propulsion, data acquisition for trials, military cable harnesses and embedded control. A typical job starts with a requirement and ends with tested hardware, CAD models, manufacturing drawings and the test results. The services pages describe each discipline, and the capabilities page covers what we do in-house.
We also distribute three manufacturers in India: Blu-Sub Mechatronics for thrusters, housings and subsea connectors, Holybro for Pixhawk autopilots and UAV avionics, and T-Motor for UAV motors, speed controllers and propellers. Prices, stock and ordering are in our shop at shop.vebixautomation.com.
Who we have built for
Our hardware has gone to the Indian Navy, to ARDE and to university research labs. Four examples, each written up with the problem, the constraints and what we delivered:
- A six-motor hexacopter for ARDE, built to simulate fuze height, with waypoint navigation, return-to-home and encrypted two-way communication.
- Casings, flanges and couplings from a ship’s communication system. No drawings existed, so we measured the parts and drew them again.
- A Navy quadcopter and its data logger, which arrived with GNSS dropouts, a silent ground station and timestamps that disagreed, and went back logging properly.
- A submarine cable assembly that had been imported. We reverse-engineered it, redesigned it for Indian manufacture and pressure- and insulation-tested the result.

Who we are
Vebix Automation LLP is a limited liability partnership based in Pune. It is registered as an MSME and recognised as a startup by DPIIT under Startup India. Our engineers came to Vebix from industry and research labs, and between them cover embedded systems, robotics, naval hardware and precision mechanical work.
We carry out joint research and prototyping with MIT-ADT University, Pune, and manufacture through Gandharva Engineers, Shravani Engineers and Kyue Measurement & Control.

How we write our guides
The guides on this site cover choosing, sizing and testing subsea, UAV and defence hardware. Our engineering team publishes them, and they follow the same rules:
- Specifications come from the manufacturer. Every figure for a product is taken from its maker’s published datasheet or documentation. We keep a record of each figure with the address it came from and the date we checked it, and each guide lists its sources at the end.
- Unconfirmed figures are left out. If we cannot confirm a number from a published source, the guide does not print one. Where a figure changes between product revisions, the guide says which revision it applies to.
- Working is shown. When a guide calculates something, it gives the method and the arithmetic so you can repeat it. The calculators state their method and assumptions on the page for the same reason.
- Every guide is dated. Each one shows when it was published and when it was last revised. When we find a mistake we correct it and update the revision date. To report one, write to sales@vebixautomation.com.
Some guides discuss products we distribute and sell. Those guides name the products and link to them in our shop, so you can see where we have a commercial interest.
Some guides and calculators also show advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers do not choose or review what we publish, and an ad on a page is not a recommendation from us. The privacy policy explains the cookies those ads use.
