Data acquisition
Indian Navy drone with data logger (quadcopter)
Diagnosis and restoration of an Indian Navy quadcopter and its data logger: GNSS connectivity, ground-station communication and time synchronisation.
The requirement
The problem this answered.
A quadcopter with an integrated electromagnetic data logger arrived for repair with GNSS connectivity, ground-station communication and time synchronisation all unreliable — faults that mask one another during diagnosis.
Constraints and operating environment: Naval trials use; existing airframe and logger, not a new build.
Vebix scope
What we did.
This project evaluated and restored a quadcopter system received for repair, including an integrated electromagnetic data logger for flight and environmental data. Initial issues affected GNSS connectivity, data-logger communication with the ground control station, and time synchronisation.
The system was analysed, reconfigured, and tested to stabilise positioning, correct module timing, and restore reliable logging and communication. The resulting platform returned to operational data-collection capability.
