What this website collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how to ask us to delete it.
Who we are
Vebix Automation LLP runs this website. Our works address is Shop No. 2, First Floor, Nand Road, Near Shell Petrol Pump, Tapkir Wasti, Sus, Pune, Maharashtra 411021, India. For anything in this policy, write to sales@vebixautomation.com.
This policy covers vebixautomation.com. Our parts shop at shop.vebixautomation.com is a separate website.
What you send us
Quotation requests
The form on our contact page asks for your name, organisation, email address and phone number, and for what you need: the part or product, the quantity, the application, the delivery date and location, and any notes. We store the request on our web server and email a copy to our sales team. We use it to prepare your quotation and follow it up, and we keep it for as long as we need it for that enquiry, any order that follows and our business records.
Job applications
The forms on our careers pages ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, qualification, experience and the kind of work you want, and for your CV. Salary and notice period are optional. We store the application and the CV on our web server and email them to the people hiring. With the consent you give on the form, we keep them to consider you for the role you applied for and for later openings.
Email and phone
If you email or call us, we keep the correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and for our business records.
We do not sell what you send us, share it for anyone else’s marketing or add you to a mailing list.
Visit statistics
Our own statistics tool records which pages are viewed, clicks on the quotation, phone and email links, whether the device is a phone or a computer, and the kind of place a visit came from: a search engine, social media, an AI tool, another website or a direct visit.
It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses or browser details. To count visitors without identifying them, it combines your IP address and browser details with a random value that changes every day and keeps only a short code made from the three. The IP address and browser details are then discarded. Each day’s random value is deleted after 40 days, after which nobody, including us, can link a code back to an address. The recorded page views and clicks are deleted after 42 days.
Server logs
Like any web server, the one that hosts this site records the requests it receives, including the IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser’s identifying string. Our hosting provider keeps these logs to run the site and keep it secure.
Advertising and cookies
Our engineering guides and calculators show advertising served by Google AdSense. Other pages on this site show no advertising.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can turn off personalised advertising from Google in My Ad Center.
- You can opt out of other vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info, or at youronlinechoices.eu in Europe.
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads.
Our own pages set no cookies. The job application form keeps one value in your browser’s local storage after you click its LinkedIn follow link, so that it does not offer the link again. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
Other services our pages use
- The capabilities and projects pages load an animation library from cdnjs.cloudflare.com. Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details when it serves the file.
- Our fonts, images and every other file come from our own server.
- Links to LinkedIn, manufacturers’ websites and our shop take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Write to sales@vebixautomation.com, or to careers@vebixautomation.com about a job application. We will check that the request comes from you, act on it and write back to confirm.
Children
This site is written for engineers and for organisations that buy engineering work and parts. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update it here and change the date at the top of the page.
