Cable assemblies
Flask and turbine cable assembly for submarine and torpedo systems
Reverse engineering and indigenous design of flask and turbine cable assemblies for submarine and torpedo systems, with pressure and insulation testing.
The requirement
The problem this answered.
Flask and turbine cable assemblies for submarine and torpedo systems were an imported dependency. The requirement was an indigenous equivalent that could be manufactured in India and would survive the same conditions.
Constraints and operating environment: Submarine and torpedo systems: pressure, immersion and long service intervals.

Vebix scope
What we did.
This work covered the reverse engineering and indigenous design of flask and turbine cable assemblies for submarine and torpedo-system applications. CAD modelling was used to support a design adapted to Indian manufacturing capabilities and the demanding requirements of underwater use.
The project also included sourcing suitable materials, planning precision assembly, and establishing quality checks such as pressure testing, insulation-resistance testing, and durability cycles for marine integration.
