UAV design
Design and development of a 7-inch drone frame
A 7-inch-class quadcopter frame with an enclosed fuselage and X-configuration arms, refined iteratively for durability, airflow and flight stability.
The requirement
The problem this answered.
A 7-inch-class frame that protects the flight electronics and keeps airflow clean, without the mass penalty that usually comes with enclosing them.
Constraints and operating environment: Outdoor flight, 7-inch propellers, X-configuration.
Vebix scope
What we did.
This project developed a 7-inch-class quadcopter frame with emphasis on performance, durability, and aerodynamic efficiency. An enclosed fuselage protected the flight controller, power-distribution board, and internal wiring while supporting smoother airflow.
An X-configuration arm layout was selected for balanced thrust distribution and stable flight with 7-inch propellers. The frame was improved iteratively after testing, resolving early space and stability constraints.
