The requirement
The problem this answered.
Manipulation tasks on a moving platform need the arm and the vehicle to be commanded as one system, and joint angles to be adjustable while watching the result rather than by editing code between attempts.
Constraints and operating environment: Mobile platform, six-axis arm, operator in the loop.
Vebix scope
What we did.
A six-degree-of-freedom robotic arm was developed for precise manipulation tasks on a mobile platform. The project focused on real-time control of the arm and coordinated operation with the vehicle-mounted system.
A MATLAB App Designer interface provided an intuitive graphical control environment for adjusting individual joint angles and observing system behaviour in real time. This removed the need for manual code entry during operation and made the system easier to use.
