How to choose power modules
Match the interface to the autopilot
An analog power module reports through voltage levels, a digital one over I2C and a CAN one over DroneCAN. The autopilot's power port decides which you need.
Rate it for peak, not cruise
Size the current rating for the aircraft's peak draw on climb-out, with a margin, and check whether the manufacturer's figure is continuous or burst.
