Summary
Vebix Automation LLP is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to take designs from CAD through prototype and into a working product: enclosures, fixtures and assemblies for drones, underwater systems, automation equipment and defence hardware, together with the vendor coordination and inspection that gets them built correctly. The role is open to fresh graduates and to diploma holders with three to four years of relevant experience.
Description
Vebix Automation LLP is a Pune-based MSME and DPIIT-recognised startup working in defence, industrial automation, embedded electronics, underwater systems, drones, robotics, data-acquisition systems, cable assemblies and indigenous product development.
The engineer designs and develops products, enclosures, fixtures and mechanical assemblies, and produces the 2D manufacturing drawings, 3D models and BOMs they are made from. Materials and manufacturing processes are chosen as part of the design rather than left to the vendor, and mechanical systems are designed for integration into drones, underwater systems, automation equipment and defence products.
Prototypes are developed with machining and fabrication vendors, and the role coordinates the machining, sheet-metal fabrication, welding, coating and surface-treatment work behind them. It also covers reverse engineering and indigenous product development, dimensional inspection, assembly checks and functional testing, the manufacturing and inspection documentation that accompanies those, and support for field installations, trials and customer demonstrations.
Minimum qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, as a fresher or with up to one year of experience, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with three to four years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo or equivalent CAD software.
- Understanding of GD&T, tolerances and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining, sheet-metal fabrication, welding and assembly processes.
- Willingness to travel to vendor and customer locations when required.
Preferred qualifications
- Product development and prototype manufacturing.
- Material selection, vendor development and quality inspection.
- Project or academic work in defence, aerospace, robotics, drones or underwater systems.
Preference will be given to candidates who can join at short notice.
